Hi There. I'm Wendy, a wife, mother and small business owner here in the Mid South. I grew up in Washington State, the Evergreen State. After High School I enlisted in the Air Force. I served as an Aviation Resource Manager. After my service contract ended I completed my BA in Political Science.
In 2017 our family moved to the Mid-South. Seeking a new career, I started taking classes on the Fascial System (Myofascial Release), received my LMT and then in 2021 I found out I had breast cancer. I no longer wanted to just be a therapist who works with fascia but also a lymphatic therapist; not just offering manual lymphatic massage, but a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Supporting other women who have had major health related surgeries such as mine, a double mastectomy.
Under the advisement of my reconstruction surgeon, I went to The Academy of Lymphatic Studies and successfully completed the Complete Lymphedema Certification Course. This intensive training is specifically for treating lymphatic disorders and managing lymphedema. I am currently working with clients who are post cancer treatment, decongestive, connective tissue, structural, Cranial Sacral and TMJ/D therapies as well. My goal with each client is to provide a service that is most beneficial to their specific needs.

The Lymphatic system is often forgotten until it is too late. At birth you have approximately 600 lymph nodes. Auto Immune diseases, trauma and surgery not only slow down the lymphatic fluid being recycled but also weaken the lymph nodes causing built up fluid, often found in your extremities.

Because the Lymph nodes do not regenerate, the only known support is Manual Lymphatic Drainage. There is no medication that will increase the capacity of your lymphatic system.
Some things I have found that help. Oscillating Shaker Plates, Compression Garments, Day and Night Exercise to include, Swimming!
